Here is my rule of thirds assignment. This tree is in my backyard. I loved how the sun was shinning on the tree. So I decided to use it for my assignment.







This is a castle in NY. I thought it was very interesting. So I decided to see how the rule of thirds would work on this photo.

  1. Wow, you're right, the way the lights was hitting that tree is really nice. It looks like it's glowing red! I like your photos using the rules of thirds better than the centered. I'm starting to understand by seeing everyone's examples of why the rule of thirds creates great photos. The bottom tree and the bottom castle photos are my favorites.

  3. I love all of your photos' I really like the castle ones and Jodi say's it all. I really like the tree one as well. I love how the sun shines radiant on just one spot giving such beautiful highlights to the tree limbs. Great job!!

  5. Beautiful job. Imagine the last castle photo when the trees are green! Love the light on the tree one on top. It's pretty darn close to being complementary colors too. The first one's got some interesting "line" going on and the last one really encompasses a good bit of the actual tree.
